Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this supervision qualification designed for?

This course is designed for qualified counsellors and psychotherapists who are in current practice and wish to train as clinical supervisors. Applicants are typically required to have completed a Level 4 Diploma (or equivalent), be practising with clients, and have accrued sufficient post-qualification experience in line with CPCAB requirements.

What qualification will I receive?

Successful completion of the course leads to the CPCAB Level 6 Certificate in Therapeutic Counselling Supervision, a nationally recognised qualification aligned with professional standards and the BACP Ethical Framework.

Do I need to be accredited before training as a supervisor?

Accreditation is not always a requirement for entry; however, many therapists choose to undertake supervision training once they have established a solid foundation of clinical practice. We encourage applicants to reflect on their experience, confidence, and readiness to take on the responsibility of supervising others.

Will this qualification allow me to work as a supervisor?

Yes. Upon successful completion, you will be qualified to practise as a clinical supervisor, subject to your professional body’s requirements and any organisational policies where you work.

How do I get started?

Getting started is simple. Reach out through our contact form or schedule a call—we’ll walk you through the next steps and answer any questions along the way.

Do I need to complete supervision hours?

Yes. As part of your L6 diploma, you will be required to complete supervision hours and submit a log.
