Elizabeth Betts
Lead Tutor
Elizabeth Betts is a qualified Psychodynamic Therapist and an experienced Clinical Supervisor. She runs a thriving private practice, working with individuals, couples, and children across a range of therapeutic needs.
Alongside her clinical work, Elizabeth has extensive experience supervising both trainee and qualified counsellors. She has provided supervision to individuals, facilitated group supervision, and supported students in training placements, bringing depth, insight, and a strong ethical foundation to her supervisory practice.
Elizabeth also has significant experience in counselling education. She has written and delivered accredited training programmes from Level 2 through to Level 6, supporting learners at every stage of their professional development. Her teaching is grounded in lived clinical experience and shaped by a strong belief in reflective practice, self-development, and relational learning.
Her approach is thoughtful, supportive, and professionally rigorous, creating a learning environment where students feel both challenged and encouraged to grow.
Andrea
Tutor
Andrea is a qualified therapist working with both individuals and children. She brings a wealth of clinical experience to her practice, including working within the NHS, providing therapeutic support for children and young people. This background has given her a strong understanding of safeguarding, multidisciplinary working, and the complexities of therapeutic work within organisational settings.
Andrea is also a qualified clinical supervisor, offering supervision to students, qualified practitioners, and groups. Her supervisory approach is reflective, supportive, and ethically grounded, with a clear focus on both practitioner development and client safety.
In addition to her clinical and supervisory work, Andrea has previously held Clinical Lead roles within counselling agencies, where she supported teams of therapists and maintained high professional standards of practice. She also has experience designing and delivering supervision training and CPD programmes, contributing to the ongoing development of practitioners at different stages of their careers.
Andrea’s teaching is informed by real-world practice, leadership experience, and a commitment to fostering confident, ethical, and reflective practitioners.
