“When I decided to start my own practise I wanted to carry out my own client assessments rather than use another service provider. For me, meeting clients in person provides the opportunity to establish our suitability in working together whilst tailoring assessment to each individuals personal experiences. I believe there's more to the assessment process other than just gathering information of life events, often  it’s in sitting with clients that we see the details that would otherwise be missed.

Lizzie's training session provided me with in-depth knowledge of how to carry out detailed assessments from gaining the right information, following your instincts to look deeper and having the courage to ask difficult questions. I was provided with excellent learning materials throughout the training sessions, delivered in a friendly and welcoming environment in which any questions were encouraged and explored. Not everyone enjoys role plays, but having the option there for you is a great addition to work  through and reflect on holding a client session that is perhaps more focused that your normal approach.
